Antioch Garden Club Community Scholarship

The Antioch Garden Club is offering a $2,000 scholarship to students majoring in Horticulture, Floriculture, Landscape Design, Botany, Plant Pathology, Forestry, Agronomy, Environmental Concerns, City Planning, Land Management and/or allied fields of study. The Nancy Zitkus scholarship is open to students who reside in Antioch Township or neighboring communities and is a student at a 2 or 4 year college or university. Current high school seniors or returning adult students who are enrolling in a 2 or 4 year college or university are eligible to apply. Scholarship Details • Open to students in various horticulture and allied fields • Supports high school seniors, current college students or returning adult students Eligibility Criteria • Residents of Antioch Township or neighboring communities • High school senior, undergraduate, or returning adult student • Majors in Horticulture, Floriculture, Landscape Design, Botany, and related fields Application Process 1. Complete the scholarship application 2. Submit a recommendation letter from a non-relative source 3. Attach an official transcript 4. Compose a personal statement essay (500 words or less) on your background, future goals, and commitment to your chosen career 5. Typed or computer-generated essay using 12-point double-spaced type This scholarship named after Nancy Zitkus, who is a founding member of AGC and a dedicated former treasurer of the club.
