Boettcher Foundation Scholarship

The Boettcher Foundation Scholarship is a merit-based award for Colorado high school seniors who are seeking a bachelor's degree at a college or university in Colorado. Selection criteria include scholastic ability, evidence of leadership and involvement, service to community and school, and outstanding character. Students who have lived in Colorado during their junior and senior years of high school are welcome to apply. Applications open September 1 and the deadline is 5 p.m. on November 1 of the applicant's senior year. The scholarship provides $20,000 per year from Boettcher for four years (up to $80,000 total), with partner institutions providing additional institutional, merit, and/or need-based support. Partner Colorado institutions include: Adams State University, Colorado Christian University, Colorado College, Colorado Mesa University, Colorado Mountain College, Colorado School of Mines, Colorado State University, Colorado State University Pueblo, Fort Lewis College, Metropolitan State University of Denver, Regis University, University of Colorado Boulder, University of Colorado Colorado Springs, University of Colorado Denver, University of Denver, University of Northern Colorado, and Western Colorado University. Semifinalists are asked to submit two letters of recommendation, and approximately 100 finalists are interviewed in March.
