Cagley Student Scholarship provides funding to undergraduate and graduate students preparing for a career in design as related to concrete. Awarded to students pursuing an undergraduate degree or students enrolling in a master's program with an interest in design. An internship is required and served working in a design environment in the office of Cagley and Associates in Rockville, Maryland. Applicant requirements: Must be a full-time student, enrolled in a concrete related degree during the award cycle, which is the fall through spring semester of the standard academic year. Fellowship applicants must attend an accredited institute or university in the United States or Canada during the award cycle. Be proficient in the English language. Application requirements: current resume; a 500-word essay describing your interest in a long-term career in the concrete industry; official transcripts from all previously and presently attended universities/institutes (transcripts received directly from students will not be accepted); two endorsements that show your suitability to receive this award (one endorsement MUST be an ACI member; endorsers cannot be students or family members). Application timeline: July 1 – Applications open on the ACI Foundation website. November 1 – Applications close. Late applications will not be accepted. Applications are under review from mid-November to early February. Fellowship finalists will be notified in the first week of February and invited to interview at the spring ACI Concrete Convention. All awardees are notified in early April, following the spring convention. Fellowship recipients receive $10,000 USD educational stipend for tuition, residence, books, and materials, plus paid travel to two ACI Conventions.
