Award AmountJan 1, 2027
DeadlineDescription
The Cancer for College Pacific Northwest Scholarship provides financial assistance to undergraduate and graduate students from the Pacific Northwest who are cancer patients or survivors. Students planning to pursue post-secondary education are encouraged to apply. This scholarship is part of Cancer for College, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1993 that provides need-based scholarships to cancer survivors pursuing higher education. The general eligibility requirements for Cancer for College scholarships are: the applicant must personally have been diagnosed with cancer; must be either attending or planning to attend an accredited college, university, trade school, or certificate-earning program located in the US; must attend school as a full-time student as an undergraduate or at least part-time as a graduate student; and the family's adjusted gross income (or the applicant's, if independent) for the most recent tax year must not exceed $150,000. The Henry Streuli Scholarship — the Pacific Northwest regional scholarship — is awarded in memory of Henry Joseph Streuli to a student who will use their education to advance a world that is filled with Henry's love of life, and requires the applicant to be either from or attending school in the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska, or Montana. The application period is open annually from November 1 to January 31 for the following school year, and scholarship recipients are announced by July 1.
