Epic's aviation scholarship program continues to grow each year to support young people interested in aviation. These scholarships are open to U.S. high school students. We invite high school students from anywhere in the United States to apply for these annual scholarships. To be eligible for these scholarships, applicants must: be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident; currently be a junior or senior attending high school in the U.S. for the flight training scholarships (or must currently be a senior attending high school in the U.S. for the aircraft mechanic scholarship); and be at least 16 or older. Now in its 11th Annual Epic Aviation Scholarship Awards cycle for 2026, the program awarded $145,000 total to 17 high school students in 2025, with more than 150 students from 24 states applying. Over the past 10 years, Epic has awarded more than $590,000 to 52 high school students. The top award is the $20,000 Captain Judy Rice Pilot Scholarship for Flight Training, which may be used at any Epic campus. Applicants must submit short essays on personal attributes and aviation motivation, two letters of recommendation (at least one from a high school teacher, counselor, coach, or school official), a two-minute YouTube video explaining their candidacy, a PDF describing community service and extracurricular activities, and an aviation-related photo. Flight training applicants must present a Third Class Medical, have reliable transportation or be willing to relocate, and use the scholarship within 24 months. The deadline to apply is October 1, 2026.
