Forward in Faith Lutheran Teacher Scholarship

The Forward in Faith Lutheran Teacher Scholarship is for students in the School of Education that are pursuing their Lutheran Teacher Diploma (LTD). The LTD requires students to take (6) theology courses in addition to their requirements for a bachelor's of education. Scholarship recipients will be selected based on an eight-to-ten minute competitive video submission that addresses the prompts available on the website. This $3,000 Merit Scholarship is awarded to freshman students for one full academic year. Submission deadlines: Preferred date December 15; Secondary date February 1. Video prompts: (1) Share a personal story, moment, or experience which explains why you want to become a Lutheran school teacher. (2) How has God equipped you in a special way to become a Lutheran school teacher? (3) How will your Lutheran classroom or approach be different than a teacher serving in a public school? (4) What is your greatest fear or challenge in wanting to become a Lutheran teacher, and what do you plan to do about it? (5) What is the one thing that you would want a future Lutheran school principal to know which separates or differentiates you from others?
