The Grand Rapids Community Foundation's Arts Council of Greater Grand Rapids Minority Scholarship is awarded to students of color (African-American, Hispanic-American, Native-American, AAPI) attending a non-profit public or private college or university in Western Michigan, majoring in Fine Arts (including all visual and performing art forms). Applicants must be a Kent County resident and have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Scholarship recipients are selected by the Grand Rapids Community Foundation (GRCF) and applicants follow the GRCF process. Applications run from December until the due date. According to the Grand Rapids Community Foundation, the Arts Council of Greater Grand Rapids Minority Scholarship is open to full time undergraduate students of color who are residents of Kent County, attending college in the state of Michigan, majoring in Visual or Performing Arts, with a minimum 2.5 GPA. The application opens on December 1.
