Hardin-Simmons University - University Scholarship

The University Scholarship is awarded to incoming students based on test scores and high school academic criteria. For transfer students, applicants must have a 2.50 transfer GPA. After admittance, they are evaluated for scholarships based on their academic performance. Students may contact the Financial Aid for more information. For new freshmen in Fall 2025, the University Scholarship awards $16,000 annually and requires a 3.2–3.4 GPA and a CLT score of 72. For new transfer students in Fall 2025, the University Scholarship awards $12,000 annually and requires a 2.5–2.9 college GPA. Academic scholarships are automatically determined during the admission application review; no separate scholarship application is required, though all students are encouraged to file the FAFSA or TASFAA to maximize aid options.
