In a commitment to promote higher education in the natural resources area in South Carolina, the Board of Directors of the Hampton Fund in 1992 established the scholarship program. This scholarship consists of a $5,000 scholarship awarded annually to a S.C. resident student to attend an institution of higher learning in the state with a major area of study in wildlife, fisheries, forestry, biology, zoology, marine science, environmental science or related fields. Applicants are thoroughly screened, interviewed and a winner selected through a comprehensive process established by the Board of Directors. Scholarship Details • Annual Scholarship: The Hampton Fund Scholarship provides $5,000 annually for up to four consecutive years, supporting a student's education in natural resources. • Founded in 1992 to support the study of wildlife, fisheries and related environmental studies. Eligibility Criteria • Residency Requirement: Applicants must be full-time residents of South Carolina. • High School Senior: The applicant should be a senior in a South Carolina public or private high school. • Field of Study: The recipient must major in a natural resources discipline as mentioned above. Application Process 1. Application Deadline: Submit both pages of the completed application, along with required documents, by January 31st. 2. Comprehensive Evaluation: The selection process includes thorough screening and interviews to identify the most deserving candidate.
