HOLA at Microsoft Scholarship

The HOLA at Microsoft Scholarship is designed to support high school seniors of Hispanic and Latinx descent who are pursuing higher education and have a passion for technology and community leadership. Scholarship Details • This year, the program will award thirteen scholarships totaling $85,000: three $20,000 scholarships over 4 years and ten $2,500 one-time scholarships. Eligibility Criteria • Must be a US-based high school senior of Hispanic and Latinx descent. • Planning to attend a two or four-year college or university in the US. • Intending to pursue an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in fields like engineering, computer science, business management, or marketing. • Should demonstrate leadership and a passion for helping the community. • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. • Require financial assistance to attend college. • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent legal resident, or DACA recipient. Application Process 1. Apply between January 22 and March 13. Check the site in mid-January for more details. 2. Submit a high school transcript and one letter of recommendation. 3. Write a 1500-character essay on your plans to engage in the technology industry. 4. Detail extracurricular activities, including school, community, and work-related activities. The HOLA at Microsoft Scholarship aims to empower students of Hispanic and Latinx descent with a focus on technology, leadership, and community engagement.
