I.D.E.A.L. Scholarship

The I.D.E.A.L. Scholarship is available to incoming first-year college students who are pursuing studies in the field of biosciences. Awards are given to an Indigenous person or member of a First Nation, Métis, or Inuit; a student with a disability, and a new immigrant/refugee to Canada. Students who demonstrate financial need are welcome to apply. Three $10,000 scholarships ($5,000 for CEGEP) are awarded, one per category. Applicants must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons; international students are not eligible. Eligible programs include biotechnology, biochemistry, health sciences, environmental biology, biomedical programs and related fields at an accredited Canadian college, university, or CEGEP. Selection is based on demonstrated IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility) leadership alongside academic achievement. Application deadline: June 8, 2026. Required documents include acceptance letter, transcript, equity group proof, and list of references.
