Martha King Scholarship for Female Flight Instructors

King Schools will award a scholarship to a female pilot working on an initial flight instructor certificate or a new rating on her flight instructor certificate. The award includes $5,000 to apply toward an initial CFI rating or any CFI add-on certificate, access to the entire library of King Schools online courses for life, and FIRCs for life. Applicants must be a member of WAI holding a current FAA commercial certificate with an instrument rating, or a CFI certificate. Applicants must be a current member of Women in Aviation International by October 1, 2024, and their membership must not expire before March 2025. Two professional letters of recommendation are required. Letters may not be from family members. Applications are open from June 1 to September 1, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET. All applicants must be members of WAI by August 30, 2026, or have a membership expiration date of March 30, 2027, or later.
