Nathaniel Ford Scholarship provides financial assistance to minority undergraduate and graduate students who are working on a degree in a field related to public transportation. Applicants should demonstrate a continued interest in a career in the public transportation industry, high academic achievement, and need for financial assistance. Returning scholarship applicants must be sponsored by an APTA member organization or APTA member assignee. First time applicants are not required to obtain a sponsor. Applications open March 6, 2026 and the deadline is June 5, 2026.
