Prepare to embark on a journey of personal growth, leadership development, and impactful service The Caldwell Fellows program invests in students selected during their first year at NC State who share a passion to learn, grow and serve others. The Caldwell program provides extensive programming and leadership training, as well as fosters collaborative interaction with alumni, faculty and community partners. This is open to all majors, but applicants must be incoming freshmen, and they must have an incoming 3.25 GPA. Building on the legacy of NC State Chancellor John T. Caldwell, the program challenges scholars to "Think BIG" and facilitates the goal of maximizing the college experience by providing intensive programming and leadership training and fostering collaborative interaction with alumni, faculty, and community partners. A minimum of two years remaining at NC State is required at the time of acceptance. High school academic and college entrance exam scores are not a factor in selection. Students who are already members of the Park Scholars, Goodnight Scholars, or Shelton Scholars are not permitted to apply for the Caldwell Fellows Program. The program's guiding values are Servant-Leadership, Principled Reflection, Personal Development, Rigorous Integrity, and Authentic Self.
