NRF Foundation Next Generation Scholarship

The NRF Foundation Next Generation Scholarship is the pinnacle achievement for students interested in pursuing careers in retail. This opportunity was created for students of various academic backgrounds who have demonstrated leadership skills, previous retail experience, and a passion for making an impact. Scholarship Details • Top recipient receives a $25,000 tuition scholarship and serves on the NRF Foundation Board of Directors for one year • Four additional finalists each receive a $10,000 tuition scholarship • Scholarship focuses on developing skills in retail, business, and critical thinking • Application process includes multiple phases involving essays, case studies, and interviews • Recognizes high-performing students with leadership ability and innovative perspectives on retail Eligibility Criteria • Must be a student interested in pursuing a career in retail • Must demonstrate leadership skills, retail experience, and passion for the industry • Must be adaptable, ambitious, and capable of influencing the future of retail Application Process 1. Submit the online application by May 28, at 12 p.m. ET, including an essay, personal brand video, one letter of recommendation, resume, headshot, and school transcripts 2. Semifinalists, notified by June 23rd, must complete a Crate & Barrel case study and two retailer interviews by August 8th 3. Semifinalists participate in quick-fire video interviews; 10 students advance to the next phase 4. Top five finalists, selected by September 29th, complete final interviews with the NRF Foundation Board of Directors 5. Scholarship recipients are announced following the final selection process Since its launch, the NRF Foundation University Challenge, formerly Student Challenge, has provided over $500,000 in scholarship funds to students across the country, and priceless career opportunities.
