The NSHSS Activism and Advocacy Scholarship invites young leaders to share their passion for a cause they actively advocate for. NSHSS wants to hear about the actions you've taken to make a real difference and the drive behind your dedication. Applicants must be NSHSS high school members graduating in 2026, 2027, 2028, or 2029. Applicants must submit an educator recommendation letter. It is optional but students may submit pictures, videos or media showing their leadership in action. The 2026 application cycle opens May 6, 2026 and closes September 8, 2026. The award is three $1,000 scholarships. Application requirements include a 500-800 word essay response to a prompt, color headshot, academic resume, current transcript, and educator recommendation letter.
