Description

The Phoenix Song Scholarship is given to students who plan to study performing arts. Students seeking a bachelor's degree in performing arts are eligible to apply. Applications are open through March 13, 2026. Applicants will be notified of awards by May 8, 2026; all applicants will be notified by May 15. Phoenix Song Criteria: - Must be a Performing Arts Major (Instrumental or vocal performance, acting, dance, stagecraft, musical theater, or any other major that contributes to a LIVE performance) - Essay of 500-800 words - Scholarship reference form completed by someone who can speak to your abilities in your field of study - Read and submit signed terms and conditions page - Must be pursuing your degree at a four-year college or university - Must have an unweighted 3.5 high school GPA or 3.0 college GPA - Minimum of 10 credit hours per semester Additional Details: - Music education does not qualify as a performing arts major - Official transcripts must be sent from your school digitally or in a sealed envelope - The committee will NOT read more than 3 reference letters - Spring disbursement is contingent on submission of completed fall course load and maintained GPA - The Phoenix Foundation is a national scholarship based in Central Florida; students come from all over and attend any college or university in the United States - Advanced degree applicants are welcome - Applications, essays, and signed Terms & Conditions page must be postmarked by the deadline; references and transcripts can be postmarked up to one week past the deadline
