Smith Scholarship

The Smith Scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors, including homeschooled students, in Alabama. Students who are seeking an associate or bachelor's degree and have financial need are welcome to apply. The J. Craig and Page T. Smith Scholarship Foundation, Inc. (a 501(c)(3) operating foundation) provides full tuition for Alabama high school seniors to attend Alabama colleges. A minimum C+ grade average and civic involvement and/or special family responsibility is required. A minimum grade of C+ is necessary to continue the four year scholarship. The foundation has proudly funded over $22,312,265 in educational aid for over 549 Alabama students from 2005 to 2026, and announced $2,130,000 in scholarships will be awarded for 2026. Applicants are encouraged to complete their FAFSA application early to strengthen their scholarship application and maximize financial aid opportunities. The foundation was endowed in 2005 by Mignon C. Smith in her father and mother's names.
