The SMU Distinguished Scholarship is available to incoming first-year students who demonstrate outstanding academic credentials and personal achievement. A maximum of $100,000 payable up to $25,000 per year or $12,500 per semester for eight semesters or four years or graduation, whichever comes first. This award is based on a comprehensive, holistic review of the SMU admissions application. Maintaining eligibility: Must maintain a SMU GPA of 3.000 or greater and full-time enrollment.
