Stephanie H. Greene Memorial Scholarship

The Stephanie H. Greene Memorial Scholarship, offered by the Town and Country Garden Club of Libertyville, Illinois, awards $2,000 in financial aid to students pursuing a course of study in Horticulture, Floriculture, Landscape Design, Botany, Plant Pathology, Forestry, Agronomy, Environmental Studies, or related fields. The Town and Country Garden Scholarship is open to any person who resides in Libertyville, IL., and neighboring communities, including Lake County, IL communities such as Vernon Hills, Mundelein, Lake Forest, Grayslake, North Chicago, Gurnee, or Waukegan. The applicant must be enrolled or have a letter of acceptance to a two or four year college or university a major in Horticulture, Floriculture, Landscape Design, Botany, Plant Pathology, Forestry, Agronomy, or Environmental Studies. This includes currently enrolled college students, high school seniors, and adults returning to school. Applicants must be planning to attend or already enrolled in a U.S.-accredited two or four-year college beginning Fall 2026. The application process requires the online Google form or the fillable .pdf application, plus one letter of recommendation from a source other than a relative, who can describe your character. All applications and recommendations must be received by March 31, 2026. The Town and Country Garden is a club that serves the community of Libertyville, Illinois through charitable and philanthropic activities.
