Sun Country Airlines "Fly in a New Direction" Scholarship

The Sun Country Airlines "Fly in a New Direction" Scholarship will be to someone who is passionate about and determined to become a career pilot and soaring to new heights. Applicants must be pursuing a career to become a professional career pilot, hold a private pilot certificate, and be pursuing an advanced pilot certificate or rating. Funds will be paid directly to the flight school to be applied to the recipient's account and must be used within a year of receiving the award. Applicants must be a current member of Women in Aviation International by October 1, 2024, and their membership must not expire before March 2025. Two professional letters of recommendation are required. Letters may not be from family members. The WAI2027 Scholarship Cycle is open from June 1 to September 1, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET. All applicants must be members of WAI by August 30, 2026, or have a membership expiration date of March 30, 2027, or later.
