Description

Scholarships do not need to be repaid. You can stack and combine them with financial aid up to the cost of attendance. Scholarships are usually based on your academic and extracurricular achievements. Scholarships are a great way to help cover your educational expenses. Incoming Texas State freshmen have three categories of academic scholarships available to them: National, Assured and Competitive. You can stack scholarships and combine them with financial aid up to the cost of attendance. Texas State assured scholarships are awarded on the basis of a student's academic credentials (i.e., test scores and high school rank as well as IB diploma or AP Capstone Diploma). To be eligible for these awards, applicants must submit an admission application, official high school transcript and official SAT or ACT scores. For the President's Honor Scholarship, applicants must: be incoming freshmen; be in the top 25% of their class; and have either an SAT of 1420 or an ACT of 32. This is renewable upon a 3.25 GPA and completing 28 hours a year. The number of awards will vary.
