The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Undergraduate Scholarship Program (UGSP) is available to students from disadvantaged backgrounds who plan to have a career in biomedical, behavioral, or social science health-related research. Applicants must also qualify for Exceptional Financial Need (EFN). In addition to up to 4 years of scholarship support, the recipient will receive paid research training at the NIH during summer, and paid employment and training at the NIH after graduation.
