TMEA One-Year Graduate Study Scholarships

The TMEA One-Year Graduate Study Scholarships will be awarded to students who must have a minimum of three years, full-time, classroom teaching experience in Texas with music as the primary teaching field at the time of application. Applicants must be pursuing a music-related graduate degree at a fully-accredited university within the state of Texas. Applicants must also be an active member of TMEA. Applicants must submit 5 names and emails of individuals who can address their potential for success in an undergraduate music education program, potential for success as a music educator, music skills and abilities, work ethic, and other personal qualities. Graduate Study Scholarships are awarded as $1,250 for 3 hours and $2,500 for 6+ hours of study during the summer 2027 and/or fall 2027 semesters. Required application materials include: names and emails of five references, a short essay, a professional resume, and a current academic transcript.
