10d left
DeadlineDescription
The U.S.S. Saratoga Scholarship Program is available to high school seniors who are related to a U.S.S. Saratoga Association Member (Sponsor), who served aboard either the CV-3, CVA-60, or CV-60. Students who participate in community or volunteer service and demonstrate academic achievement are encouraged to apply. Eligible relatives include a son, daughter, grandson, granddaughter, great-grandson, or great-granddaughter of a U.S.S. Saratoga Association Member. The Sponsor must be a Member in good standing for a minimum of the past 12 months. Scholarship applicants are selected on the basis of academic achievement, community/volunteer service, a submitted essay, and other stipulated selection criteria. Eligible high school seniors may also apply for scholarship support in the name of a deceased Association Member, and on a case-by-case basis consideration will be given to eligible high school seniors related to Association Honorary Members. Scholarships are awarded on an objective and non-discriminatory basis, without regard to race, color, or disability, and are awarded on a one-time basis.
