University of California-Santa Cruz Campus Merit Scholarships

The University of California-Santa Cruz Campus Merit Scholarships are awarded to students in recognition of their outstanding academic achievement. This scholarship is renewable for a maximum of four years for freshmen or two years for transfers. Those who submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Dream Application and who are determined to have financial need may also be offered additional financial aid including grants, loans, and/or work-study. Students may contact Financial Aid for more information and inquiries about the application. Award amounts are $2,000 per year, renewable as long as Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) is met. For first-year freshmen, that totals $8,000 paid over 4 years. For entering transfers, that totals $4,000 paid over 2 years. Financial need is not required. Campus Merit Scholarships are open to first-year and transfer students, including international, non-resident, and California residents, including those qualifying under AB540 exemption.
