University of Maine at Presque Isle Merit Awards

In recognition of the unique talents and interests of its entering and returning students, the University of Maine at Presque Isle offers a number of merit-based awards, scholarships, and grants. Most do not require students to show financial need. Additionally, there are scholarship opportunities, such as the Aroostook Aspirations Initiative available regionally, that incoming students may want to explore. The University of Maine at Presque Isle understands that earning a degree is a very valuable endeavor and we are committed to offering you opportunities to offset the costs through our Student Academic Scholarship Program. You will be rewarded for your hard work in academic areas. The University of Maine at Presque Isle offers two types of merit awards, one for traditional students and one for transfer students. Requirements will vary by award, but applicants should have at least a 3.0 GPA. The exact number of awards given annually varies based on student eligibility and available funding. This is offered to people of all residency statuses.
