University of Oregon Apex Scholarship

The University of Oregon Apex Scholarship is available to both residents and non-residents who reach the peak of high school achievement. This scholarship awards Oregon residents $8,000 total - $2,000 per year for four years, and due to the difference in tuition, incoming fall 2024 nonresidents will receive $40,000 total - $10,000 per year for four years. The annual award is split evenly over fall, winter, and spring terms. The award can be combined with other UO scholarships, including the Presidential, Diversity Excellence, and General University Scholarships. However, this award cannot be combined with the Summit Scholarship or the UO Excellence Scholarship. Apex Scholarships reward scholars for reaching the peak of high school achievement. Award Information: Oregon Resident $2,000/year ($8,000 total), Nonresident $10,000/year ($40,000 total). The Apex Scholarship can be combined with other UO scholarships, such as the Presidential, Duck Excellence, and General University Scholarships, but not with the Summit Scholarship or UO Excellence Scholarship. Recipients must enroll in the fall term of their first year and maintain enrollment in 12 UO credits per term. Selection Criteria: Apex Scholarships are awarded to incoming first-year students who meet these criteria - Minimum 3.70 high school GPA on a 4.00 scale; No prior college enrollment after high school graduation. How to Apply: No separate application is required. Apply for admission by January 15. Submit all required admission application materials to the Office of Admissions by February 15. Scholarship Renewal: Maintain a 3.00 cumulative UO GPA and complete 12 UO credits per term (36 UO credits per year). Apex Scholarships are renewable for up to 12 academic terms (excluding summer) within a five-year period, or 15 academic terms within a six-year period for students seeking a BLA, BIARC, or BARCH degree.
