Utom River Conservation Fund Fellowship

The Utom Conservation Fund is managed by a consortium of groups* that are dedicated to protecting the Utom River and its watershed in southern California. Four grants in the amount of $12,500 each will be awarded.Scholarship Details• Four fellowships awarded annually, each valued at $12,500• Open to graduate students enrolled in master’s or PhD programs at accredited colleges or universities (including out-of-state)• Research must focus on the Utom River Watershed in southern California• Eligible project categories: cultural studies, wildlife, water quality, and botany• Special consideration given to applicants who are tribal members, including those from unrecognized tribesEligibility Criteria• Must be enrolled in a master’s or PhD program at an accredited institution• Research must be specific to the Utom River Watershed• Project must fall under one of the following categories: cultural, wildlife, water quality, or botany• Applicants from tribal communities are strongly encouraged to applyApplication Process1.
