VESTRA Resources Scholarship

VESTRA Resources Scholarship provides financial assistance to residents of Shasta County, California who are interested in studying mathematics, natural or physical sciences, or technology at a college in any state. The VESTRA scholarship program is merit based and is open to Shasta County residents and/or high school graduates attending a Shasta County high school who will be attending an accredited 4-year college or university, students transferring from a 2-year or junior college program to a 4-year accredited college or university, and continuing students at 4-year accredited colleges or universities in the fields of math, natural or physical sciences, technologies, and related areas of study. Awards are based on academic performance, leadership, and career interest. Applicants must possess a minimum GPA of 3.5 as a graduating senior and continuing college student. The scholarship program does not apply to students who will be attending 2-year or junior college programs. Students attending colleges/universities outside Shasta County or out of state may apply as long as they have not changed their residency status. Previous scholarship recipients may reapply in order to compete for an additional year. Scholarship applications must be postmarked by Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
