The Walter & Elaine Anderson Scholarship is available to high school seniors or graduates from one of the 17 eligible Montana counties. Applicants studying the treatment of speech and language disorders receive special consideration. The scholarship was created to benefit Montana graduates from a number of counties seeking to study education or speech and language disorders. Applicants must be pursuing a degree (undergraduate or graduate) in the fields of education or speech and language disorders, and must be enrolled at an accredited postsecondary institution by the start of the first term of the awarded period. Selection is based on academic achievement, financial need, participation in school, church and/or community activities, and long-term goals and objectives. Recipients may reapply annually, up to a total of 4 years awarded. The scholarship typically provides $2,000 to $3,000 per academic year to approximately 4 recipients each year. Required materials include a Most Recent Transcript (High School), FAFSA, and FSS.
