WIT Celebrating Women in Toxicology Award (Postdoctoral)
Dec 1
DeadlineDescription
The Celebrating Women in Toxicology (CWIT) award was inspired by the generosity of Ms. Anne Wolven Garrett, one of the early leaders in the field of toxicology. As a tribute to Ms. Wolven Garrett and all past and future female leaders of SOT, the CWIT award will recognize and encourage women who are in the early stages of developing their careers in the field of toxicology. The CWIT award is selected based on scientific merit and outstanding demonstration of leadership and service to the scientific/toxicology community and given to female post-doctoral fellows engaged in research activities in the field of toxicology (or related field). Applicants must be members of WIT SIG and SOT at the application deadline. Two letters of recommendation describing the applicant's leadership and service to the scientific/toxicology community is required. In addition to some mention of scientific achievement, the letters should also focus on recognition of the student's/postdoc's demonstration of leadership and service in toxicology and/or their community. One of these letters must be from a Full, Associate, or Emeritus SOT member. Please visit the award's website or contact the Society of Toxicology for more information.
