Description

The Four Directions Scholarship is available to incoming first-year students at Texas Christian University who are citizens of a federally recognized tribe. The scholarship covers the basic annual cost of attending TCU, including an award for full-tuition and an allowance for an on-campus room, meal plan and books. The scholarship is renewable for a total of four years. Students are provided with mentoring, networking opportunities, and participation in the TCU Native and Indigenous Student Associations. Special consideration is given to students with significant financial need, determined by filing the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) and the CSS Profile. Recipients must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA. The application requires two essays (500 words or less each), a photo of tribally issued verification of membership or citizenship, and a recommendation from a tribal leader or community member.
