The Legacy Scholarship is available to high school juniors from Bexar or Webb counties in Texas, who demonstrate leadership qualities. Students who are involved in their community and are planning to attend a college or university in Texas are welcome to apply. Each student will receive $10,000 per academic year (up to four years). Founded by an anonymous donor, the program has become one of the largest college scholarship initiatives in the nation; in 2025, $4.4 million was awarded to 110 students. Applicants must submit three short essays and a transcript (official or unofficial). Application dates: October 1 – December 15 (annually). For questions, contact legacyscholarship@saafdn.org.
